Adventure Activities (PED 181)
A hands-on course introducing students to outdoor and adventure-based physical activities, focusing on risk management, leadership, and experiential learning.
Physical Education Lecturer
I believe movement is the foundation of a full life — and that every student deserves a teacher who shows up for them.
Teaching Philosophy
"Movement isn't just physical — it's how we build confidence, community, and character."
My approach to physical education goes beyond fitness, sports or just the oudoors. I design learning experiences that meet students where they are — building skills, resilience, and a genuine love for being active.
Whether I'm leading a classroom, in the a gymnasium, or out on a wilderness trip, I bring the same energy: curious, encouraging, and deeply invested in every person in the room (or nature).
What I believe
"Every student who walks into my class deserves to leave feeling more capable than when they arrived."
— Ethan Pettengill
